Casey Reeve began giving private lessons when he was only 16 years old. Along with a private studio, he also worked through Portland Youth Philharmonic’s Peer Mentor Program, giving lessons to under privileged students within the Portland, OR area.
While studying at New England Conservatory, Casey continued teaching, working at Edwards Middle School, an inner city school in Boston, as a trumpet instructor. He also ran workshops for trumpet with Son de America, the leading mariachi band in the Boston area.
Currently, Mr. Reeve continues teaching trumpeters at the Music School in Hamm, Germany, ranging from ages 7 to 17. With his over 10 years of teaching experience, he has had the opportunity to teach various levels and ages. Casey believes one of the most rewarding parts of being a musician is being able to pass on what one has learned, helping students unravel the mysteries of their own playing and accomplish something they never thought they could accomplish.
